María Ferrer & Aurélien Darbellay

LINDY HOP

SPAIN/SWITZERLAND


This dynamic duo first crossed paths in the vibrant Lindy Hop scene of Barcelona, where they bonded over their love for swing dancing. Since then, they've been dancing and teaching together for over a decade! 

With a passion for swing rhythms, deep connection, and the magic of being present in the moment, María and Aurélien are all about exploring the endless possibilities of social dance interactions... and making it swing!

Their approach to teaching is filled with curiosity, dedication, and joy as they share an art form deeply rooted in the African-American community, always mindful of the cultural context and history it represents. 

Based in Barcelona, they actively contribute to the local dance community through their school, El Taller, their social and scenic project, Cia Enjazz.

KARL BROCHARD

SOLO JAZZ

FRANCE


Karl teaches Afrodance, House Dance and Swing dances, in particular Solo Jazz and Lindy Hop. He shares his passion through classes in the heart of the French capital and abroad.

His experience, enhanced by his participation in numerous competitions, has strengthened his teaching approach. Karl has won several prestigious competitions, including Jazz Roots in Paris and The Battle in Toulouse. He was a finalist at the ILHC in Sofia, Bulgaria, among others.

His teaching principles include caring for his students and creating a supportive learning environment.

Karl's relationship with swing dance goes beyond a simple chance encounter, forming part of a journey of sharing and passing on his passion, based on mutual respect and shared joy.

Mona REITHMEIER & RASMUS HOLMQVIST

LINDY HOP

GERMANY/SWEDEN


Mona and Rasmus started their dance partnership 8 years ago, but have danced successfully with other partners for many years before that. In 2017, they competed together at the International Lindy Hop Championships (ILHC) in the USA and immediately danced their way to 1st place in the Open Showcase Division. Since then, they have participated in several international competitions in different divisions such as ILHC, Savoy Cup, Rock That Swing, National Jitterbug Championships etc. and placed extremely successfully. The two dance and teach different swing styles such as Lindy Hop, Boogie Woogie, Collegiate Shag, Charleston and Vernacular Jazz.

Their main idea in dancing is to inspire each other and express their feelings towards the music in a very original and authentic way.

They are regular instructors at the Vintage Club in Munich and teach at many international dance camps, where they pass on their love of swing dancing with enthusiasm.

Tebby W.T. Ramasike

AFRICAN DANCE

BELGIUM


Tebby is a South African choreographer, dancer/performer, dance teacher & researcher and cultural activist.

Born in Johannesburg, he started dancing at a very early age, training in different dance styles, firstly in Ballroom & Latin and eventually in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap and African, Butoh, African ritual dances.

After working professionally in several theatre and dance companies in South Africa and abroad, he came to Europe in 1995 to pursue studies in New Dance Development and Choreography at the European Dance Development Centre in Arnhem, The Netherlands. He then established himself as a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher in Europe. In 1999 he founded TeBogO Dance Ensemble (TBO) (later called TeBogO Dance), with a vision of focusing on the role and the spiritual essence of the dancing body as a tool of communication, bringing dance to the people as both a performance, socio-cultural and educational platform. Since its inauguration, he has been invited to perform and teach extensively in Europe and abroad (as far as Japan or South Africa, for example).

EYAL VILNER & THE HOT FIVE

USA/FRANCE


Eyal Vilner is one of the leading new voices in the New York and global swing scene. Born in Tel Aviv, saxophonist, clarinetist, flutist, composer and bandleader Eyal moved to New York in 2007 and started his big band the following year.

Eyal's interest in the exchange between sound and movement within the jazz idiom inspired his musical journey and yielded collaborations with acclaimed dancers and choreographers. Among these projects are theater productions, dance festivals and competitions such as the International Lindy Hop Championships,  The Xperience, Midsummer Night's Swing, and the celebrated SW!NG OUT show at the Joyce Theater (co-creator and musical director). This show, which the New York Times has called "Groundbreaking," has toured throughout the US, in venues such as the Jacob’s Pillow and the LA Music Center.
